Clutch Slave Cylinder "Quick Disconnect"

Looking for assistance in disconnecting a jammed or stuck "quick disconnect" on an internal slave cylinder on a 1990, 4.9L, 5 spd. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Clutch Slave Cylinder "Quick Disconnect"

Just struggled through this myself this last Friday.

I ended up using a couple of very small screwdrivers to push the white teflon ring down below the level of the metal before the "quick" disconnect - disconnected.

While pushing the ring down, I rotated the two collars and it finally came apart.

Hope this helps.

I made one a couple of years ago out of a fairly thick piece of sheetmetal.I cut out a u shaped section at the end just large enough to fit over the line and it worked decent.I'm sure a good parts store sells a special tool if needed.
