My 1968 F-100
We grew up together. Dad bought her brand new the year I was born.

Came new with a 240 and three on the tree. I put a 351W ahead of the three speed, then swapped in a C-6, then took all that out and slid in a hopped up 360 with a street-strip C-6, then swapped all that for a complete '72 Torino running gear - 351 Cleveland/FMX/2.75:1 gears. It's got power discs on the front and power steering from a '79. Had a lot of "firsts" in that ol' truck. I plan to fix 'er up when times are better. |
that was a shape ol' truck and i'll be happy to see her all fixed back up and shinning again someday.

Rangoon red and wimbelton white, a classic combination. I think Mitch used to say that was the only red / white truck with a red top he'd ever seen.
Paraphrasing Jeff after his first ride in that truck, "Man! Mitch just flies down those gravel roads with his thumb hooked in the steering wheel! I was hanging on to the back of the seat and the door for dear life while my feet swung back and forth through the turns!" |
Love that body style, it was that style or the 61-66 style when I was lookin to buy one, just so happens I found the 66 first.
It's great that your truck has stayed in the family all those years, will be nice once restored. |
The body looks like it's still in great shape, a new paint job and some nice rims and she will look in her prime again. In those early pictures she was a shape truck.
