hi all,
just figured id put this up here so that we can see whose driving what, so if we see each other we know who it is. (that made no sense and im sorry you even had to read that lol:-banghead) basically, now we can see who drives what. (better, i hope so) anyway, here goes. 94 F150 standard cab short bed. rated for 3/4 ton with the tow package 300 I6 with E4OD trans and 8.8" rear with 3.08 ratio. as of tonight it has 186,800+ miles on it. last year i drove 25,000 miles and im gunna top that this year. extra goodies: custom catback exhaust with a Flowmaster super 40 muffler, safety rack, grille guard, CB radio, scanner, and emergency lights in the grille and the taillights. hope the link works. http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...ngine/503m.jpg now everybody else have at it. |

I don't know all that much about the Jeep. Quite frankly I don't care much about the Jeep.
That Jeep is pretty nutless. All I know about it is that dad gave it to mom as a present. He found it at an insurance auction because it had been driven into a pond after a joyride. He had it fixed and now we have it. The miles are relatively low, but when you open the glove compartment it smells like the bottom of a pond. Plus the top feels like it will blow off if you go too fast. And it's missing the door handle on the passenger side. And the strap that keeps the door from opening past 90 degrees has a broken attaching point and the steering wheel is bent from when my brother drove it. And the worst part is how the fuel fill is. You flip the license plate down to get to the fuel fill. The entire time you're fueling you have to hold it down. Dad tried just setting the pump and letting the pump hold it once, but that didn't work out too well. It's not really that it's a bad vehicle. It's just that why would I want to drive a pink Jeep over a bada** SuperDuty? Oh well. At least I don't have to pay the registration or insurance on it. |

Brian:
I saw the note in your gallery. For a sagging rear end I presume you are aware of AirLift helper airbags, I used them on my old pickup truck when I went to Alaska, I was about one ton overweight. Firestone also has a airbag helper product too. Because I have a van, I'll probably go with the Talon replacement (leaf spring delete) air suspension system. Hellwig also offers an air assist suspension product. Kelderman offers a leaf spring delete air suspension system too, but their method doesn't appear to adapt well with my van. Of note though is that Helderman has a front coil spring delete air suspension system too (versus the coil spring air assist bag that goes inside the coil), but be careful with the front air systems as proper pressure (height) is critical else your steering geometry degrades. |
Pete:
I went to check out your gallery, I see you've been remiss in that department. Well school work does take priority. |
|
I can side with Joe:
Fords are great for hauling around those Off-Road only Jeep toys. Those Jeeps are just the bigger predecessor to today's quads. |
