I just looked at the Sunrise thread. That sounds like a ton of fun and I would love to be there. Unfortunately my truck will still be under the shrink ray I am afraid. I will get the next one though. I can't wait to put a face with the name on you guys.

Jimmy,

How did you get your truck down here to them?

Were the "locals" willing to cut you a one-time "pass" to drive it down?

I took the "better to ask for forgiveness than for permission" theory and just drove it. I live right on the edge of town so it really was not much of a risk. I really believe they would have understood had they pulled me over. I have always been honest and respectful with them so I think I would have been good to go had they pulled me over.

Hey Jimmy - don't let not having your truck keep you from coming down to the SoCaps meet. There will be lots to see, and it's always a good time.

Great morning everyone.

SteveBricks 02-02-2009 08:27 AM

Hey Serg.........

Serg450 02-02-2009 08:42 AM

Well Steve I managed to change the tranny fluid and change engine coolant. Next on the to do list is the twi difs and transfer case.

SteveBricks 02-02-2009 08:45 AM

That's cool - how did the tranny fluid look?

Serg450 02-02-2009 08:47 AM

A little on the dark side. No metal or anything like that. Did the filter as well.

I haven't taken care of that truck as well as I should.

SteveBricks 02-02-2009 08:50 AM

No metal in the fluid is good :)

Serg450 02-02-2009 08:52 AM

I was worried though. I towed a boat to the river the last two years and did not address the tranny service. So if it take a dump it's all my doing. I hope it doesn't happen.

freirefishing 02-02-2009 09:09 AM

ive got 62000 towing miles on my rig, think i should do a tranny flush?

morning everyone, 60 sumthin, raining and thunderstorms coming

SteveBricks 02-02-2009 09:14 AM

:eek:Wouldn't be a bad idea, Paul.

freirefishing 02-02-2009 09:22 AM

ill add it to the list for this week. i just love spending money

SteveBricks 02-02-2009 09:24 AM

Better a trans service than a trans replacement.

Shouldn't be too bad.
