reintroduction of Glycerine.

I've seen a couple posts of people that reintroduce glycerine from the previous batch in order to lower the titration on the next batch. Our 1st batch titrated @ 5 mg/ml of KOH, so we would like to do this with the next batch.
Anyway, what I read was 20% of the glycerin by volume... Is this 20% of the glycerine that is removed (about 8 gal for ours), or 20% of the total volume of oil (32 gal), or 20% of the total volume before processing (40 gal). Also, do you distill the methanol out of the glycerine before reintroducing it?

thanks again.

I've never found the need to "pre-treat", but then I take more care in the prep of the oil before conversion than most people. I've always tried to streamline my process, and that was just another step I didn't need.

Since going to our own oilseeds I have no need because there are no FFA's in virgin oil. :)
