Need Help - Dimensions

Hi all, I searched around but didn't find an answer. I'm looking to purchase a 1960 F100 Long Bed and need to know the overall dimensions of the truck to make sure it will fit in my garage.

Anyone have that information available?

I'd mesure mine but it's still in a 1000 pieces... a new 2009 with a 8' box mesures 231" or 19.5 feet. I would think that the '60 is close to that or maybe a bit shorter.

PM Col Flashman - he know!

OOOOOOPPPPs you don't have enough posts to PM....Hmmmmmm. Go to the Search Function and type in "Col. Flashman" When his posts pop up just click on his name (in blue someplace) and it will take you to his user page - you can leave a message for him there. Or cick on his name and then send a regular e-mail.

Well, FWIW to anyone a longbed is approximately 18'. Thankfully it'll fit in my garage. For $500, I bought this today:

Well, after some research, this is not a 1960 as I was told. The guy selling it was the brother of the owner and he didn't know much of the history.

The truck is either a 65 or 66 model. You can tell by the front headlights and turn signals as well as the flares behind the rear wheels on the bed. The tailgate as a handle in the center as well.

The owner thought his brother had swapped out the rearend to a 1-ton for his racing, but it looks more likely that the truck is actually a F250.

Either way, I'm digging this truck. Can't wait to get it home.

The original owner used to mud race this down in Mexico. Not sure why as it's a 2WD. It stayed down there too long and the registration expired. As you can see, it's in fantastic shape.
