Are BC laws really this retarded
I had someone tell me it is illegal to have your hitch in the receiver when driving your truck, without a trailer in tow.
I never remove my hitch, and he says I am going to get pulled over and ticketed. Is this for real, or is he full of BS? |
Hes full of it ,I was just reading the same thing on another website.
As long as its not blocking your plate. |

Teach them for not looking where they're walking. If you're that close that to skin you shins on my hitch then you're just way to close to my truck. Its merely defending itself. I've even heard from a few people that if you don't have a hitch or ball on your bumper you can't have stuff hanging out the back of your truck (yes i know you need the red flag if you have stuff) But i'm saying if you dont have the hitch or ball, nothing can hang out the back, flag being useless. Correct me if i'm wrong please, i've been known to make mistakes before. __________________ Originally Posted by snacks once i figure out what to do for a career i will at least make $40 an hour i am ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, |

Why would you want them getting out, they might come invade the interior then.:-missingt |
I like having mine in place. It protects the bumper and the rest of my truck.
|
I always remove mine when I'm not using it. Not so much for other people walking into it, but for my own safety, trying to squeeze between the back of my truck and the garage door.

A couple of idiots driving small cars with plastic grills went 'crunch' a couple of times while behind me in a drive-thru, or while stopped at a light. It only sticks out about what....4" or 5"? Didn't leave nary a scratch on my bumper either....OR the chrome on the hitch, or powder coating on the steel mount :) Before anyone says "Hey man.....that wouldn't have happened if that hitch wasn't sticking out...", all I'd say is, if you are pulling within 6" of someone's bumper, you're way too close.....Personally I think if you're within about 4 feet of someone's bumper, you're way too close. JMMHO. :-drink |
I called the RCMP and talked to a lady in traffic division.
She said that its fine to leave the hitch in, unless its one of those really long extended hitches. It cannot stick out more than 1 meter past your tail lights. Thats a longggggggggggggggggggggggg hitch. |
