You know, Orin, if the wind ever stops blowing, you guys will be so used to leaning over into the wind, you will all fall over onto your faces!
We spend a great amount of time leaning to the west here it seems. I' am not sure if I could even sleep if the wind wasn't shaking the house.LOL!
morning, all you early rising bs'ers. Getting ready to paint in about 30 minutes. Pretty windy here and not real warm.
Morning Miles. Say goodbye alien green!
Morning Miles, looks like it may be a heat wave today and the wind here has finally backed off. I shall get to enjoy the nice weather today as must run to Cheyenne in a few moments. Good luck with your work.
Orin, when you say "the wind has finally backed off" does that mean below 30 mph??LOL!
man I suck at painting with an airless painter. Stupid thing kept plugging up and splattering paint chunks all over the wall. Ending up scraping most of it back off. Now I have a big mess. Not sure what to do next. still working on a plan
Miles, did you strain the paint out through a filter before you sprayed it? If not, it will plug up the tip pretty quickly.
Oh, and you need to thin it down some also.
I put about a cup or two of water in a two gallon bucket of kilz. The airless has a strainer in the supply tube but it is pretty big screen. I think the problem comes from two areas. I think the green paint, after closed inspection is oil based paint. It is really slippery and the latex primer will not stick. I think the second problem came from a combination of having to boost the pressure up pretty high to get a good pattern and not spraying fast enough. Lots of paint coming out which ended up too thick. Pretty big mess right now.

See that Miles, you shouldn't have messed with the Green Room

Hey Scott. I was trying to lose some weight. It actually worked! Now, dont get me wrong, I didn't quit drinking, just switched to rum for a month!
I don't know about tomorrow....Not a fan of either....may have to go with the Cards, though..Ralph Brown, CB, former Husker plays on AZ. Actually, I just want it to be a good game! Well, time for another beer! |
