Anyone deer hunting? Let's hear your stories!

I gave up deer hunting long ago, but I like to hear the stories. I had an Uncle fall 20' from his deer stand about 3 weeks ago bow hunting. He managed to get on his 4 wheeler and ride back to his daughters house. He had a cracked bone in his neck and broke 5 ribs, 2 were broke twice. He was very lucky, so be careful out there this week.

Yep, I typically go out in the woods and sit in the cold with my gun :-X0A6

Unfortunately, it seems like that's been the extent of it the past couple years.

Yabbut this year, there's already snow on the ground...so it outta be a good year!

I'm like Paul...when the boys left home...dad just didn't seem to have time to hunt anymore. So now I just sit around and wait for the adventure stories to come in.

Who has time to do anything anymore?

Out the door to work while it is still dark, and dark before I get home in the evening.

Saw a 6 point trying to cross the road to Pappa John's Pizza Tuesday morning about 6 AM, but traffic was so heavy he just turned around and went to McDonald's instead.

With the weather getting bad, deer are everywhere.
I have 8 in the back yard right now.

My Uncle, that fell out of the tree stand about a month ago and broke his ribs and fractured his neck, still managed to bag 2 deer neckbrace and all. He is dedicated.

If you did not go hunting and do not have a story. Tell us about the last deer you got with your vehicle. I had 2 close encounters last night with my Deville. One was in the road and managed to turn around just before I would have hit him. The other was just standing on the berm waiting for me to pass, thank goodness.

Not too shabby! With the neckbrace and all huh? Yeah, that's dedicated!

I didn't have much luck in the woods last week but there was a chance I could've seen a tiger. That's right, a tiger. Don't know if you've read about this yet or not but a tiger was on the loose around here last week. The guy that had them was about a mile from where I hunt and was on the loose at the same time. Talk about a good opportunity to crap my pants! yeehaw!

Here's the gazette story about it...

I read about that. If you would have saw it while hunting that would have been quite a shock.
