My Newest Project!

Like I needed another project.............I've been looking for a service truck for my new business, but just couldn't find what I wanted or needed. I found this ambulance/rescue truck on an on-line auction from the University of Oregon last week. I was the only bidder and got it for $1,650!!!! 7.3 Diesel with only 15,800 ORIGANAL miles, on-board air compressor, 2,500 watt inverter, cabin pressurizer system, on-board vacuum pump, air-ride suspension, etc.....Even the lights, and siren work! Over the years I've had several service trucks, but nothing as fancy as this:-jammin

Cool what are your plans?

I started a new farm service company, and needed a truck that would haul all my tools and equipment to the farms in my area. Most of the farms and ranches in this area have shops, but don't have full time qualified mechanics. They wind up hauling their equipment to shops from 50-75 miles away, and paying $75 + per hour. I've had quite a few requests for service work from these farms, and decided to start a mobile repair business. I charge $45/hour. They save money on the labor, and don't have to pay $$$$ to transport their equipment to a distant shop, and I don't have the overhead of shop space. So far I've got way more work than I can handle. :-jammin

Thats great, good price. I bought a 99 Ambulance with a Powerstroke for $1000 about 2 years ago for the engine, but it had 250,000 miles on it and it was ROUGH!!

It's not a project anymore. It's my daily driver! And the best service truck I've ever had. It's been great this winter! It has a place in the side where I plug in an extension cord, and it has a block heater, a 120 vac circulating pump, and a 120 vac fan, that keeps the whole thing toasty warm all night. When I climb in in the morning it's always nice and warm.............:)I haven't been able to use it for 2 weeks tho, cause it's drifted in...:-huh And looks like this.......
