Willie Run 2008 – NYC to LA Non-Stop, on One Tank of Biodiesel

empiretc 08-21-2008 08:22 PM

what car is he going to be in?

fabmandelux 08-21-2008 09:00 PM

It looks like a VW...........Must have one BIG tank tho............

Making a few assumptions it could be done on one large tank. It's roughly 3000 miles from NYC to LAX; assuming the Jetta is getting 35 mpg...they're going to need at least 85 gallons to do it. I wouldn't want to try it without at least a 120 gallon tank in the trunk as insurance. I don't see any way it could happen on the stock tank. But then I'm a guy that runs a rig that burns fuel at around 20 mpg most of the time.
