At $6 a gallon he must have been wasted.

Hey - I used to remove my cats and Oxy sensors and run my car on AvGas130 if I felt like burning a dirty great hole in my pocket!

The car certainly felt like it could out run a jet when it was running on it.

wonders he didnt leave it running while he filled up

Have you heard about the guy who put a jet engine on top of his car? The only reason they found him was because they were trying to figure out how these skids marks were made down such a long way on the road and when they quit there were gouges in the pavement from the rims on the road, Somebody saw something shiny on a hillside a ways off so they went to take a look and found what was left of the guy and his not so flying machine. Must have been a wild ride while it lasted.

It's a fun idea, but it's also an Urban Legend. See:

As Snopes says, it's the Wile E. Coyote in us that wants to believe it's a true story!
