Siege Engineering - Train horns
I sniped a Kong MKI 200psi kit on eBay for under $300. Just got done installing it and fired the compressor up for the first time. Around 50psi I hear a hisssss. So I start feeling around, and feel air leaking from the WELDS!!!! I called Siege and got a very friendly and eager technician who said he'd talk to his General Manager and call me back because he felt that even thought it's their policy that the buyer pay for shipping of the replacement part he didn't feel I should have to, since it was a poor weld. I get a call back from the same guy a little while later and he tells me that his GM said NO EXCEPTIONS!! He then proceeded to tell me he thinks it's BS that I would have to pay for shipping and it's for things like this that he's LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB!! WOW, I shopped for a long time before settling on Siege. I liked the sound of the Kong horns, and everybody else either didn't have a sound clip of ther horns or I didn't like the tone. I was under the impression that Siege was regarded as a decent quality piece and a respectable company. I thanked Bob for his effort and told him that I new few good Weld Engineers (I work for Miller Electric) that could fix it up for me, and not to worry about it. So my tank is fixed and everything works great, I love the way they sound, and after having them working only 10 minutes, I got the cops called on me already :-X0A6. Not in the least bit impressed with Siege, though. If it wasn't for the fact that I liked the tone of the Kong's I'd NEVER deal with them.
