Hey, where did everyone go? I know I've been away for a few days but I don't see much from anyone!

What did everyone do for Canada Day?

Fomoko1 07-05-2008 08:43 PM

I`m here but I`ve been busy with work and yard work, typical summer stuff.
I`ve had the model T out for a few runs between the odd Mustang cruise. Afew car shows now and then, I`m waiting for the biggie, Super Run to get here.
Next weekend is Pionera Days.

I still celebrated July 4th..... anytime I got a reason to set off fireworks I jump at. I didn't blow anything much up just shot my old 22 around for awhile and a few small fireworks. Canada's day though is July 1st.

Let`s hope it`s not a year of a crop failure all around.....

LaredoF350 07-06-2008 04:26 PM

I think its too late for some of our crops already - even with rain they have suffered tremendously and wont yield much. The hay is all cut and I estimate about 1/3 of last year but last year was exceptional though.

What do you think looks better...the pre-'97 F series pickups or the after-'97 series pickups?

What engine series do you prefer and why? The 302/351 V8's and the 460 Big block V8, or the newer modular series overhead cam...ie; 4.6, 5.4 V8's and 6.8 V10.

96sherm 07-06-2008 05:32 PM

92-96 was the best looking trucks, but i love all the ford series...

as for engines, its hard to beat the smooth power of the new modular engines, but the raw power from ones such as the CJ series was nice too... guess they all have their place!!

LaredoF350 07-06-2008 05:54 PM

I never really cared for the 97-03 F150 trucks. However, the Supercrew in that same style is a hot looking truck! I like the mid 90's F250 crew cab trucks. Every once in a while I see one thats in really nice shape - they look particularly good in white with a long box (IMHO). The current crop of F150's are good looking trucks. I am partial to Superduties though. A young fellow who once worked for me then bought the truck and trailer form me that he was driving just got a 2008 w/6.4 in dark blue - it looks good, damn good! His brother has had a few really dependable Dmax's just like my brother so some comparissons will be in order. His brother just got a new Dmax.
Engines -either diesels or big block gassers. I wouldnt waste my efforts on anything else!
