Back in April, two U.S soldiers rented a new 2008 Chevrolet Suburban sports utility vehicle and took it on base during the night, at Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. As it turns out, the two men were driving about five kilometers from the area of the range that was used for live firing (snicker snicker). An F-16 fighter jet was in the area and the pilot thought he was firing at a target within the range. Only seventy 20 millimeter rounds were fired at the Suburban and the two soldiers amazingly survived, one suffering a dislocated shoulder. An investigation of the incident was filed, but has not been yet completed. The accident would definitely make for an interesting story at the car rental dealership.

I don't want to even think about how I would explain that. If they were allowed to be in that area they have nothing to worry about except explaining to the rental place. It would fall onto the pilot. But if it was no-no area they are screwed.
