Cartons are like $60 here.........but I'm still a quitter. Over 3 months now!

Bdox 01-06-2013 05:56 PM

Well done Riggers! That is fabulous! You should be proud of yourself.

riggers 01-06-2013 06:00 PM

Well I would be..........if it weren't making me gain weight. Pffft.

Bdox 01-07-2013 12:04 AM

I know what you mean. I gained about twenty pounds that I have not been able to shed. I need to get it off because the extra weight it hell on diabetes.

riggers 01-07-2013 12:21 AM

I'm not diabetic yet..........but I might get there soon! I really need to shed a few too. Maybe we could start a weight loss thread. lol

Haha! Might be a good idea. I think I'm just a hog, I can't seem to stay out of the kitchen! :p

To think at the beginning of this thread he said packs were $3.50 a pack........over $6.00 (with tax) by the time I quit~5 years later....and I was nearly 2 packs a day!

And I darn sure don't plan on eating any less! Maybe I could just do hubby's workout I keep thinking about doing since he never really got to. A little exercise would do a body good I'm sure :)

Bdox 01-07-2013 01:26 PM

Probably right Rigs, something that really gets the heart pumping. Cheers.

riggers 03-13-2013 12:14 PM

Okay BDox, in 12 days it will be 6 months since I quit and I weighed myself on Saturday and I had gained 40 lbs since I quit smoking. This is getting out of hand! So started dieting as of 3-10 (Sunday) and as of this morning I've dropped 5 lbs. Oh just 35 more to go. lol

On Sunday I did workout 1 of his workout videos for 15 minutes and today I am still hobbling around!

Bdox 03-13-2013 02:31 PM

Well done Riggers! You can be very proud of yourself. I hope you like celery.

riggers 03-13-2013 02:41 PM

Nah, it's Atkins. No carbs, all the protein you can stomach. So, it sounds great in theory, until I have a sugar craving and fall asleep sitting up.....

Bdox 03-13-2013 03:30 PM

Wow, tough enough to kick smoking but then to kick sugar too. Ask me how hard that is. Been there done that. [diabetes]

riggers 03-13-2013 04:00 PM

Oh that sucks Bdox! I just wanna kick it for a little while!!! I would hate to have diabetes! I just want to eat what I want to eat and work it all off but that means I gotta get up and work it off. This would not have happened if hubby was around pointing out every little dust particle I missed..... lol

Bdox 03-14-2013 02:04 AM

Yeah, but the truth is that if you can kick it for a little while, you can kick it. Getting rid of tobacco and sugar would probably be among the very best things you could do for yourself. I mean for your health. Next thing you know you might take up jogging!

Anyway, good luck with your effort. You are tough!
