Seeking F-1 thru F-150 trucks & drivers to kick off 2009 F-150 model in mid-July

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix will be the site where the Neighborhood Ford Stores (NFS) help launch the 2009 F-150.
NFS is comprised of the 89 Ford dealerships in southwestern Pennsylvania, southeastern Ohio and the panhandles of West Virginia and Maryland. It is one of the sponsors of the annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association), which is one of the largest classic/vintage auto shows and races in the country. The F-Series is the official truck of the Grand Prix.
The Grand Prix was started as a benefit for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny Valley School 26 years ago by the late Myron Cope, longtime radio announcer for the Pittsburgh Steelers (whose son is autistic).
On Sunday morning, July 20, NFS and the Grand Prix want to honor Cope (inventor of the Terrible Towel-another fundraiser for the Autism Society) and pay tribute to the F-Series' history.
NFS is seeking about a dozen trucks - beginning with the F-1 through the 2009 model we'll have on display - so that every major update/model during the past 60 years is represented.
We're also seeking retired Steelers players from over the years to ride in the beds of the trucks. If you are interested, please respond here, or email Patrick McSweeney at patrickm@sjp.com.
