So - should we barbeque at NAVY Lake, and when?

Long as I'm back online we should persue it.

Bring puppies, frisbees, fishing rods, and kids.

Also meat - meat is good on a grill, as is charcoal....
(Though it might be much less expensive for me to get at the commisary)

-Here's looking at you

NEVER QUIT

I'll be there if you set a date. Lets try to plan this one out well. There is no reason we can't have a good size G2G if everyone puts out a little effort. It don't take much effort. Just show up is all I ask. LOL

Greywolf 05-28-2008 06:09 PM

I agree, we need to dope this out.

Are mutts allowed? I never checked on it in depth, I should do a thorough recon.

What dates are good with everyone? I think my weekends are clear.

The place has a good sized pavilion, with restrooms and a snackbar, rain should be no big deal.

Hey - don't leave your fishing tackle at home!

lariat97 06-01-2008 05:36 AM

Should I bring my boat. I'm always ready to go fishing. I might get lucky & catch enough fish for a cookout. Wouldn't fresh caught fish be good for a cookout. You can't beat the taste of fish thats never been frozen. Lets set a date & see what happens. We need to do it soon or its gonna be too hot to enjoy.

Greywolf 06-01-2008 09:52 AM

It's kind of a small lake...

lariat97 06-01-2008 02:42 PM

Cool I can save fuel if I don't tow a boat.

Greywolf 06-01-2008 09:47 PM

How big is the boat? It's not a huge lake, but if you're pulling a BOSTON WHALER or a PONTOON it would be overkill...

I'll try for some pictures - you might want it there because as I think on it, the place isn't fished real hard...

Greywolf 06-06-2008 05:46 PM

Okay - so this weekend is out, judging by lack of responses here. I'll just keep piling on info until I hear a couple of "ALRIGHT ALREADY" type reactions...

lariat97 06-07-2008 09:42 AM

My boat is a 16 ft x 48 inch heavy duty aluminum polorcraft. It was built for duck hunting & is camo clad. Its not too big for small lakes. I fish Glenn Springs in it. I'll bring it if anyone wants to fish. From the post it looks like this meet may be just you & me Dutch. We can just go fishing if no one else shows on the date you pick.

Greywolf 06-07-2008 09:18 PM

Hey - I'M THERE with it man!!! I'll make dang sure I hit up wally world for a fishing licence renewal even though I doubt the game wardens go on base at all.

I like the hang out 'til noon idea a lot come to think - best way to find out how much stuff to grab is to see who shows and who blows...

~Dutch

PS: I'll see if I can do a prelim hit on the navy exchange for basics like charcoal (which I can always use) by 10AM so that some stuff is already there.

PPS: I think Roofie will have to stay home though, because if I'm not on shore he'd go nuts...

Greywolf 06-09-2008 02:16 AM

I got my fishing lisence! Also a new flotation vest. We're set!

Personally, I think if we plan G2G's as fishing trips and grill-outs, no matter who shows up I just can't be disappointed in the outcome, can I?

So from this point on - we do a G2G, if people want to come on out and know there's a boat and good fishing, people who know how to grill, and a lotta good times THERE IT IS.

If someone ELSE misses out it just isn't my fault.

We're gonna have fun this summer, I can tell. See Ya saturday...

~Dutch

PS: I got a new cast net for live bait gathering that I know is legal size in Tennessee.
