[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Sep-02 AT 06:15 PM (EST)]I gather that the 1997 Ranger 2.3 is a Non-interferance engine. I just bought it at 79000 miles and need to get a belt soon. Any suggestions on parts, OEM always or what? Any discount parts houses for Ford?

You need a Timing belt or an Accesory drive belt?

Both, I changed the oil and filter, plan on flushing the coolent and replacing it with the timing belt job. I also bought fluids for the five speed, rear end and both clutch and brake systems.

I'll check the condition a brakes when I rotate tires and grease sliders.
