190 micron filter???

i got a couple of cone filters that are 190 micron, i was wondering if i overlapped two of them would that make for better filtering at 95 microns?

and what is the typical size for the drums of methanol that you guys buy? so far i have found one guy that sells them by the 55gal. barrel but that is out of my budget?

Nope. It would make it a double pass at 190 microns.

thats what i figured... if something makes i through the first its gona make it through the second

do you think 190microns is good filtration for wvo, its catching a lot of the crap in the oil.

ok, but it seems to be getting everything out of my wvo, which is pretty clean in the first place. what would adequate filtering be? 20? 10?

cookie88 05-07-2008 08:57 PM

I think the stock (truck) filter is 10 micron absolute....I would think something around there would be adequate.

I would say go as small as you can or else you'll pay for it later 10 fold w/ the truck but thats just an OPINION...

Alex

Wait an extra week to run it and earn enough $$$ to buy a nice filtration set-up...

i found this water filter thing, its supposed to be for a trailer hook up, it came with two extra filters, idk what micron, but im shure its pretty good, i could filter the oil first with the 190micron filter, then the water filter, then a stock filter. whad ya think?

btw thanks for all the help.

what I have been diong is this....

1st a shirt filter (your 190 micron) then a factory filter (housing and all) then a 5 micron house water filter, then a 2 micron filter ... then when it done you should have no filter clogging problem.. except like mine all the algea is getting caught in my fram g-12 filter...
