Boring 351W .060 over

Is it acceptable to bore a 351W .060? Is there enough meat in the walls to do this and still have reliability? I am looking at buying a block that is already bored and am kinda spooked because it is .060 over.
Thanks,
DannyP

Unless it is a steal, I would pass. There are plenty of untouched 351w blocks still around.

I got a 351W remanufactured long block and it was stamped .060 over. I haven't had any problems with it over the past 3 years.

My 351W is also bored .060 over. I got it this way and wished I knew before started to rebuild it. Otherwise I would have bought a newer block for it. You can't really take an engine beyond .060 Well you can but it's more like all out racing with a solid block with the water jackets filled. But that is beyond my point. So far I haven't had any problems. LOL other then my fuel bowl. Go with what your gut is telling you. If you have doubts pass on it. Look for something you feel is worth the time and cash.

I fear I did not clearly convey what my question was. I am looking at a block that has a FRESH .060 bore. All machine work recently done, ready for rotating assembly to be installed. Thoughts?

Oh in that case jump little doggy. What you get is a 362 instead of the 351. Atleast that is what I came up with on the calculator. There will be no problem if is a fresh over bore.
