Any Old Fords in Here

I was just curious what the interest the chapter has in older fords. I've owned a bunch of trucks over the years but my favorites have to be from '73-'79.

Who's got a garage full of parts or something restored that there working on or tinkering with. Her's a pic of my '79 SC below. It doesn't get out much anymore unfortunately.

Nice rig. I just picked mine up a couple months ago and have so far just been taking care of mechanics. I only have to replace 2 pieces of bodywork on mine before it's restored. Unfortunately, those 2 pieces are the cab and the bed!:-missingt Not too many dentsides around; what there is left is all in donjamer's front yard. ;)

Look at my pics in the gallary.
I have a '68 and '72.
'72 will hopefully be on the road this summer. '68 is in tear down status.

There are at least 2 other in NE with late 50's trucks.

There are other out ther eas well. The old ones are represented well in NE with rust dwindeling the total numbers of them left.

Check out 48' fordster's gallery...he has a '48 he's parting out...a '49 he's working on and a '94 which is his current daily driver.

A friend of mine is looking to get rid of his '88...six...handshaker...if you know anyone who might be interested.

Thanks for all the replies. Glad to see there is still a bunch of older trucks here. If I had my way I'd have another one or two in the driveway. The one I have I got shipped from California. It's getting real tough to find good ones left in this part of the country.

Hey psquare7575 if you ever want to sell that truck give me a call. It would make a great truck for my 18 yr. old. Not to mention it would match pretty good with the one in the garage.

Eh, it'd be a little much for him. (460/etc).. I've also turned down $8K that I've been offered, lol.

There are more than you think. But yes very few.

I just saw a Bumpside 4x4 on the side of a house with a plow in it in Norther NH. Looked in pretty good shape. Was about 2 weeks ago.

One was for sale one town over from me for a 4x2 for $5000 and after about 4 months it was gone. This was about a year ago.

One town the other way was another (about 5 years ago) for sale.

There is a guy in Londonderry that has a nice bumpside and it sits in the yard all winter. Not sure if he still has it. Haven't been over there in a while.

Seen one parked at a house in Greenland(near Portsmouth) but haven't seen it there in a while. Might be up for the winter.

Saw a 4x2 F350 dump bumpside on the road a few weeks back. It was in rough shape but still out there working.

and I was behind McFarland Ford(Exeter) sunday and I think what I saw back there was a Unibody. Yep early/mid 60's I think. Sorry no pics. Didn't even cross my mind.

48' fordster 04-07-2008 08:30 PM

Umm hells ya I got some old trucks!! And im pretty sure im one of the youngest members too. haha. As BK has said, I own a 1948 F-1 (sellin parts on ebay) And a 1949 F-3 that im "restoring" with some some little added things and soon to be 12 volt. Its goin to be my work truck on the farm in the summer and to get lumber for building the house this summer. And my '94 is the daily driver in the winter while i am still workin on the '49.

And BTW those are some sweet trucks you guys have!!
