It is so good, it doesn't need them fancy tires or chrome like the rest of you guys.lol
:-wink
And one of it on vacation.

Nice truck. Mine looks just like yours, but a 78. Supercab, same orange, no trim. I have however, been collecting trim from junkyards when I see good pieces. Got it all but the bedsides. I'll post pictures of mine next week after it gets a lift and new rubber.

Fdude nice vid.I like ur trk.I also like how ya left the Lariat tailgate on,but stripped the rest.I bet that guy in the red little trk filled his draws when u poped out on that embanking.:)

fdude64, Is that your driveway in your video ? Nice.

This thread kinda disappeared. I guess that makes supercabs more rare then supercamperspeceals
And Camper Special Supercabs even more rare than 76supercampe:prspeceals
Almost as rare as snowfighter package w/D60 frt

Anymore pictures of supercabs ?

I think trks with the Sno package is more of a reginol thing.!5 years a go there were a lot of em around here in NewEngland,Now 3-9's are just hard to find period.I still say JUST on numbers produced for a particular model. The 79 350 SC with 4wd is the rarest 3-9 model produced

These trucks are more rare in this time zone. I get jealous when the Arizona members post the salvage yard stuff.

And don't go rubbing it in!

Here is mine for now. I will be putting this one up for sale to finish funding the Bronco restoration. It is a true 79 F-350 Ranger XLT 4x4 Supercab Camper Special. It has dual tanks and the tool box in the bed. It is also an air conditioned truck but it is going to need recharging. The interior is in nice shape and I put a mint Lariat headliner in it. At some time someone put a D44 up front but that is about to change as I have already got a D60 to go back in it. When I change the axle I am going to put another leaf up front to get it to sit level.

just curios what it's worth
heres mine

Thanks m78. What am I going to list it for? Good question, not sure what the market will bring but I am hopeing for upper 12's to 13K. There were not a lot of 350's made so hopefully that will make it a little more desireable. I have found the VIN on the frame rail and that matches the door jamb tag so it is not a molested truck.

I have my 250 and I did just about a complete resto on the Bronco and I don't have a lot of garage space to keep em all. As much as I would like to the 250 and Bronco have a lot more sentimental value to me than the 350 does.

I saw that picture of yours and it reminded me of the day I bought my new Ford back in 79. That truck look's as stock as it can get m78. Very nice ride.

ranger429, Your lucky to be able to have bought one back in 79. It's one of the things I wished I could have done when I graduated highschool (77). But I guess it's the same as someone graduating and buying a 45k$ truck now
Who ever buys your truck should be happy with it, looks great

ranger429 04-06-2008 05:50 PM

Well I won't lie Mark. My dad cosigned for me and I was only 17 when I bought it. I had the truck before I could legally drive it. It was a brand new 79 F-150 Ranger XLT. I had it about a year and a 1/2 untill I wrecked it (young and stupid) and have loved these trucks ever since. Here is how it looked after it's first year. I think there are some wrecked pics in the gallery.

Nothing wrong with dad cosigning. My dad cosighned for the house I'm in now and a couple of flips.
Gotta love the parents!

fdude64 04-06-2008 07:20 PM

the tailgate was on it when i got it. it came off my donor. it is the better of the two. and no that aint my driveway. that is a muddin hole of mine. you just saw the front part i wont go to the back unless there is something that is able to pull me out, lol.
