Work came to an end today..

I'm not officially laid off yet. I've been bumped to "on call".... Big freakin whoopee.... Now the job hunt really begins....

That sucks man. Do you at least get a wage while your on call?

I have a feeling some of us might get laid off this year too, due to the summer supposedly being slow.

I have a job interveiw tomorrow morning with 1800-got-Junk. So we'll see how that goes... I hope he'll over look my bullsht accident in January...

I got cut off, and I swerved to avoid hitting the truck that cut me off, and I hit a mini van instead... The f*&^ing driving of the mini van, said to me at the accident. Geeze did that guy in the transit truck cut you off... then he told ICBC that I was speeding, and the transit truck was a full 2 mins ahead of me... f*&^ing people....

Sorry to hear that man.
Any word from b.c. ferrie's?

mike240zt 03-14-2008 12:49 PM

****ty deal... At least there still seems to be a fair bit of work around. Still think private ins. would be better. Even if it was more at least you'd get proper representation when needed.

Even with private insurance, you still have to get your base through IckyBicky. My insurance goes from $1600 p/year to $2500. p/year (for 3 years) unless I can pay off the $3000. before Sept. 08.

http://www.franchiseworks.com/upload...franchise1.jpg

I call the Richard on Weds to setup a time to go out with em for a day "preview" of the job on Thursday. If they like me, and I like them. Then I'll probably start on Friday :D.. I will be working a 4 day week. 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 2 days off.

Zip 03-15-2008 02:21 PM

I've seen some of their advertising down there. Maybe they have junk bunnies.

Good luck with the preview.

At least they have decent trucks.
