what is magnasol

has anyone used magnosol? On the Magnosol web site they talk about dry washing your bio. How do you do that? It sounds like a good idea.

Magnesol is a chemical sponge. It will soak up unreacted chemicals, water, and other impurities in your fuel. Failure to remove these contaminants results in poor quality fuel that can damage your engine. The original method of decontaminating newly made BD was water washing but there are problems with that method and it also requires a drying step.
Chemically it is synthetic Magnesium Silicate. It is FDA approved for removing impurities from shortening, its' original purpose.
To use add the appropriate amount to your processed fuel and mechanically stir, do not use pump mixing. Then filter and use the fuel.
Fabmandelux, one of our forum members, produces a lot of BD and uses Magnesol. He has had his product tested and it meets ASTM standards.
