I've got about 52,000 on our 04 Expedition, going in next week to have the rear differential rebuilt.

ToddRG 03-08-2008 10:54 AM

98 XLT 4.6L family vehicle, no towing with 125,000, had the rear end replaced at 110,000. Other than that, just routine stuff.

99 EB 121,650 w/ oil leaking from head, and not much else...

amm888 03-08-2008 11:28 AM

00 EB w/60k.

99 EB, 4.6L, 150553 miles, replaced a synchronizer in the tranny at about 105K and just done regular maintenance stuff, nothing major - ever, got a little oil pan leak right now. I've always stayed on top of the oil changes and flushes. It's been an awesome truck. That's why I bought another one. Figured I couldn't wrong with another one.

EDIT: I forgot that I had to have the AC/Heater Blend door replaced. Which was a beotch because the EB has the center console, to get to the darn thing you had to rip aprt darn near the entire dash AND the center console had to come out as well, it's only about 500 screws - that's an exaggeration but you get my point......wasn't fun.

08 Limited Expedition, 5.4L, 806 miles, power window regulator and motor on the rear passenger side is being replaced next week.....hoping this thing wasn't built on a Monday or a Friday - LOL!

98 EB with 108k on it. Lift system occasional issues and "door ajar" light was intermittent until I siliconed the doors. Other than that great vehicle. Looking to upgrade to Excursion to tow my 7800 trailer easier.

99 Eddie Bauer with 106ish on it blew a plug had both heads rethreadedall 8 plug holes put it back together and all is good (for now) stud is broken on passenger side exhaust manifold and a nasty leak from a exhaust in result of doing the heads...

98 Expy Eddie Bauer 4X4 5.4l V-8. 170,000 miles, new rear end at 125,000, alternator at 140,000, plus normal maintenance. Still runs like a top!

I have 148,000 on my 2000 Expedition, and still looks and runs like brand new. And I love it. I've towed occaisionally with it. (camper, utility trailer, flatbed trailer with backhoe) Here are all of the repairs I've had:

Transmission modulator body. (starting kicking into 2nd gear hard) $200.00 at a local shop.

Intake Manifold (made strange whistling noise) Ug, went to the dealer for this one, $1,300.00

Brakes and rotors (once, all 4 wheels rotors on front). Cost me a little over $400.00

Replaced driver's side window lift motor. (just did this today) Did this myself, $70.00 for the motor.

Fixed overhead display. Did this myself, free!

100k on 03 EB 4x4. replaced brake booster last spring, Backlights on guages haven't worked since I've owned it.

replaced all 4 struts in Nov with bilstiens. The old ones still had a little left in them.

makomarine 03-09-2008 02:57 PM

2000, 4.6L, 4x4 XLT - 120,500....
all recalls done when notified, heads done at 55k by dealer.... all "normal" maintenance done on schedule (fluids front to back, plugs, brakes etc).... running strong, no leaks (i know i just jinxed myself!!)

gherrick 03-09-2008 06:51 PM

2000 5.4L. 4x4 XLT -- 110,000
Done all basic routine maintenance myself. Most major issue = all front end ball joints replaced at 82k for $600
