Speed Alert for 2003 Harley-Davidson F150

Hey Guys,

I have a customer in Australia with a 2003 Harley-Davidson F150 requiring a speed alert to be installed. I have no problem installing these (will be a VDO brand), but I require the location of the wire that provides a speed signal.

If anyone can assist, it would be appreciated heaps.

Lok forward to your response

When you say "speed alert".....

There are 5 DIFFERENT sources, and all of them refer to a 12v pulse trigger.

If you want to do him a favor, you can pull it from the TSS and he won't EVER trip the device. The next in line is OSS, but it is a little less forgiving....it is downstream of the TSS and has a closer-to-true indication of actual wheel (or at least driveline) speed. Next in line is the VSS wire...ACTUAL tire rotation speed.....

That is a GY/Blk, pin 68 at the pcm

Lemme know what yer needin, and I send you a schematic

Thanks for the info commandersander. All that I am after is the VSS wire so that a speed is detected by the speed alert, same as what is used when you connect a cruise control to pick up the speed pulse. Look forward to your diagram.
