6.9L vs. 7.3L

Hey does any one know if a 6.9L engine will bolt in to the existing mounts of my 7.3L?

To be sure, I'd jump up to the early 7.3/6.9 diesel Forum...just keep scrolling up..... As a WAG, I think it does, but I don't know about the engine wiring harness....

YAYYYYYYYYYYYY 6.9L non-turdblow DIESEL!!!!!!! lots of torque, not sure about mounting or bolt-ups tho

Jason, I take it you found a replacement engine for your diesel...6.9. And I see you got your answer up in the 7.3/6.9 Diesel Forum. Good going.

I thought the bellhousings were different lengths, or I should say, the input shafts...

i wouldnt do either of those. just rebuild the one you have. just faster. and stronger. hpop injectors, head studs. main studs. thats what i would do. and you could do alot of cool things to your engine before you would get near half the price of a reman from ford.
