How Much to Paint My truck
I was wondering, what a person could expect to pay to get his 79 truck painted. Anyone have any idea?

2000 bucks...
Ok that was a total guess obviously but have you called any local body shops? |

what kind of paint job do you want? It could be anywhere from 50$ And up. And it would matter how much body work does it needs.

Are you doing a color change or anything fancy? I would guess that for the size of the truck to sand it down and prep, paint you could get into the neighborhood $3500. That number is a drop it off and pick it up guess, from past experience. Painting has gone way up, especially if you are in a hurry. The best advice I can give on this is to drop it off in the fall (when you would store it anyway) and pick it up in the spring, that way a paint shop can use it as a fill in during slow times. I have a good freind that does all of my work (morotcycles, golf carts), I can get you his number if you like. He is located in Grand Ledge, about 45 minuted from 28th and I96.
Toyman Here is a picture of the last bike he painted for me black with candy apple red flames. I can't give a number but let's just say I got a heck of a deal. |
Toyman. I was planning on adding black between the mouldings. The race track mouldings, which I hope to add on when it gets painted. The rest would be the same red color

I sent you an email Sgt.

you get what you pay for always check out work on others cars/trucks before you pay someone to paint you truck now john you have seen some of the work by a shop I have recommended first hand however the cost is based on what you want it to look like in ten years after it was painted. Its all in the prep, before they shoot any color on it.
