Brake Job on a 2000 Ford F150
I am replacing my brakes on my 2000 ford f150. I got the calipers off fine but the rotors need to be turned and there is a brace or a bracket that the calipers fit into. This brace/ bracket needs to come off so that I can pull the rotor off. The bolts holding them on are on pretty damn tight and my question is what size socket do i need to get those bolts off I dont have the size in my tool box so before i go to the store to buy one I would like to know what size. Any help would be great. Thanks.

just did a front brake job on my 98 4x4. The size of socket you need is an 18mm. also might have to lube back of rotor with some spray and tap on rotor with wood block. It took me about 2 hours to get my rotors off only to find they were scrap.. Had to buy 2 at $41. I put loctite on the bracket bolts and caliper bolts also to keep them from coming loose
