great truck man - really like that gen truck.

However this entire thread is only for 73-79 trucks.

We are elitists and only like others of the same kind.

Also... my old dodge ram charger and a very similar middle strip in it, 99 percent sure it would work and there still in every junkyard out there may try that... blazers may also have something similar but not sure....

How Many 77-79 Crew Cabs were produced?

Just like my topic says, how many in total were made? I know they are pretty rare? Always wanted one with a worked big block.

oh heck no. That's a very custom and sweet truck. They even painted it like that on purpose.

classictruckman 01-24-2017 06:12 PM

Ah so it's a recent restomod.

X2 on no way that is factory, and X3 on yes it is way cool even for being 2wd.

Spent a lot of time staring at that rear trim in my crew as well. I ended up going with some stair nose trim from the hardware store and throwing the factory 'curved corner trim for a 90 degree floor' in the parts pile. Might not be for everyone but I like the way it turned out and the price was right! It held my floor material tight and let me cover that vertical surface that always gets all scratched up...https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...74fada1f91.jpg

On in a side note, what kind of seats are those in your crew? I sure like the way they fit... do you have pics of the front on here anywhere? Thanks!

Thank you, You may not like the answer }> Some folks are all hard core about it, but me not so much... I modded 06 dodge seat into the truck, figured it already had a cummins might as well have mirrors and seats to match. Had an 05 dodge before this build so I already liked the ride and feel of the seats, so thats what I went with... Quiet a bit of trimming and planning to get them in and sit low enough but easy enough to do...

lots of pictures of the install on in my build thread,

Made the rear seats fold up like the stock dodge seats

My new crew, hopefully getting the 4x4/cummins treatment soon. 78 custom, AC/Cruise. Spent its whole life out in dry TX other than being mfg in Canada. Body is in great shape minus that little blowout issue in the driver rear of bed.. not as bad as it looks though!
