f350v10 vs. f250v8
 

i have a crewcab long bed manual f350v10,and am looking a an identical f250 with a v8 and an automatic, both are 2wd. i was wanting opinions on ehich would get better mileage

I have a 2001 F250 crew cab automatic and it's 2wd but not long bed. I get around 12 to 13 mpg around the city and 15 to 16 highway.

you will getter better mpg's with the v8. but if you tow, you will get better mpg's with the v10.

the v8 has to work a lot harder to tow, where as the v10 dose not, so when towing loads, the v10 will use less gas.

i have a 01 f250 V10 crew cab short bed, 8mpg 90% city driving.
