Looking for a diesel mechanic ?

I used to be a member of this chapter , but I moved and had to re-register to this site and I have asked to re-join this chapter. Anyway I was wondering if there is or if someone knows a good diesel machanic in or around the Indy area? I have an oil leak on the top side of my 2002 7.3L psd and it`s leaking down into the valley and then running back to the back of the motor and then dripping to the ground. It`s not supper bad , yet , but i would like to get it fixed before it gets bad! I looked at it and have decided I`m not going to try to find it or fix it! So any and all help would be great!!

A few things to check- the high pressure oil pump both the mounting leaked and the hoses leaked. Also check the ICP regulator mounted to the pump-the O rings and the sensor itself sometimes leaked. There are high pressure oil plugs at the ends of the heads, the O rings had a tendency to blow out too. The ICP sensor is on the front top of the drivers side head-they would blow up and leak. Lastly, check the fuel pump that sits in the valley-if it's loose, it will leak oil at the mount.

I would guess two items. Turbo Pedistal orings or EPBV valve... or it's actually fuel and washing all the grime out of the valley and making it appear as oil. The fuel leak stems from the fuel bowl drain valve orings leaking. This is really easy to fix.

As far as a mechanic goes, Fleece performance in North Salem Indiana is a knowledgable bunch. They do mostly upgrades though. In Danville - there's Danville Performance, aka Larry's Auto Service or something like that. I'm sure there's other ones out there.
