I know what that is like. I have a computer that is acting up at work right now. It restarted three times. On the third restart it said no operating system found.I manually restarted and found the os. Looks like the hard drive might be going up.

Sounds like a worm took out the sectors of the hard drive and that could very well be toast

Hello Sean

fire240 04-03-2008 06:12 PM

That might be the problem. One big issue is the fact that the computers in my office have to stay on 24/7. Unfortunatly tech services has to fix it. If it was up to me I would have put a new hard drive in it by now.

So...good news...bad news. Too bad about the funeral...enjoy the rest of the weekend. I have to attend a funeral tomorrow...a former co worker/customer died as a result of 3rd degree burns over most of his body when his tanker carrying 10,000+ gallons of gas/diesel was cut off by a driver who swerved across lanes on I91. He swerved to avoid running over two cars involved in the resulting accident...crashed his rig and was on fire when he finally got out of the truck. The driver of the car responsible faces many charges including negligent homicide.

my sister-in-law's step father.
everyone says it is no big deal if i don't go, but Mac was a part of our combined family for 35 years, so i think going is the proper thing to do.
