motor mounts

Any problem with using solid motor mounts on the 2.3L? I know it will transfer vibration to the frame etc, but will it make any of the sensors on the motor act up like the knock sensor? Or will the vibration hurt the internals of the motor? thanks

Why do that? I have had experience with engines that have mounts that are too soft, disturbing various components ie, exhaust pipes, shift levers, etc flapping around. I take a length of threaded rod, make 2 brackets, one to bolt to the back of the motor, one to bolt to the firewall, and use shock absorber bushings to absorb motor torquing. Worked like magic. With the proper shock mounting washers etc, it is an hour's work, and much quieter than solid mounts.
