Overhead computer
 

I found an overhead computer on ebay for an expedition and was wondering if this would work it the X. It looks exactly the same but I don't know if the software is the same. He will accept a return if it doesn't work so I guess I would only be out of the shipping.

Just the computer? I don't think the whole thing would fit but just the computer may work. Can't imagine Ford made a whole bunch of varying styles.

How much is he asking for it?

You may do better by getting a Scan Guage II for about $160. MUCH more useful!

The over head computer on our 00 F350 and my 04 X is different, the F350 has temp, MPG, and miles left till empty, My X has only MPG and miles till empty because the temp is in the climate control on the main dash. So im guessing they are just programed different but im not sure how the expeditions are, but im guessing the same as my X if its a newer one.

The ones in the expedition sometimes tell you instant mpg too. :-X06

Well, I guess I will try it since it is only $59.95.

Maybe someone could verify with the part numbers from ford.

My 00 Ex has climite, mpg and mile to empty on it.

Same here on the 01 X but not on the 04 X the temp is in the climate control,
