Had your mirrors replaced? A question..

Of those of you that had your mirrors replaced, how quiet is the inside at freeway speeds? Is it just as quiet as not moving, or can you still hear some wind moving across the truck?

I drove a 2005 Taurus, F-150 and 2005 Toyota Corolla and at freeway speeds there is wind noise. Not obnoxios at all, just there.

I had my driver mirror replaced. You can still hear wind moving across the body of the vehicle, especially if you have the radio off. This is normal for a boxy big SUV. The mirror issue was nor normal. It made the sound of wind leaking through the window and into the cabin area. The new mirrors fit much more tightly to the glass surface.

There is still the "normal" wind noise, the wind noise caused by the original mirror sounds like the window is cracked open a hair.. What makes it really annoying is that the sound is right up at the drivers head level and very noticeable at highway speeds.

I bought my 07 in June 07 and have no wind noise problem. May be they solved the wind noise problem by June at the factory.

I ordered mine in Aug 06, it was delivered 10/06 and I don't believe I have any noise.

I always thought it was the quietest Expy I ever owned.

Ihave had 5 of them--97, 99, 2000, 2004, and 2007.

Strange. I had my mirrors replaced and it changed the tone of the wind noise, but it's still there. Not a whistle but a variable noise. Much worse than my 2000 Expedition.
