'02 Explorer XLT 4x4 - Power Windows Stopped Working

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4, 4 door with about 87000 miles on it. I hopped in the Explorer yesterday and found that none of the windows would go down from any of the window control panels. I couldn't find a listing for the fuse in the owners manual so now I'm a bit stuck. Does anyone know what fuse or relay goes to the power windows and where it can be found?

Thanks,

Josh

power windows stopped working

If you have owners manual, see what else is on same fuse as windows. If that item works, fuses are OK. Then check wires that go from drivers door into door jamb in a large bundle. One of the wires provides power to entire system and it can get brittle and break from door openning and closing thousands of times.

After checking my Owner's Guide and the Haynes Repair Manual, if you have a window lockout switch, check that. My books don't point out the fuse or relay. Best guess is to check all fuses. I know , a pure pain. Check for power at the driver side control. Good luck.

If all the fuses check out, you probably have either a switch (or more likely) a lost ground, etc. in teh driver's side door... that main switch kind of controls the others.

I posed your question on another site, the answer i got back was, Battery junction box fuse # 6-60a will feed Central junction box ( under driver side), the inline circuit breaker #47-30a, through the Accessory delay relay, powered by fuse #17-15a to the window control circuit. Check the fuses, and for 12v at the points. Then check for 12v at the driver side door switch pannel. Good luck.
