New to Bio

I have a palce nearby that sells B20 but reading the Ford manual it states not to use more than 5% Bio. Has anyone had any problems using the B20 on the 6.0 without modifications?

No. I have not heard any problems directly contributed to Bio. I've been running homemade Bio anywhere from B-40 in the winter to B-100 in the summer. I have 13,000 mi on my '06 now and still have the original fuel filters in it, and have never been back to the dealer for any problems. Hope this help's

It is a warranty thing. Because biodiesel must meet stringent quality before case/IH will warranty over B5. In a recent statement (in the ag sector) they will warranty B100 in certain engines BUT you must have a certification letter that it meets quality standards from a fuel supplier.

I'm running B100 in my 06 F250 SD 6.0L mixed at about 50-70% with dino and have no issues. Have been doing this for about 1 year and mix it right at the pump. B100 and dino pumps are right next to each other. My 2000 7.3L X is currently running on B100 from the pump. I have not started making my own BIO yet, but am collecting oil. MLC2
