The truck is scheduled for maintenance

I've developed warped front rotors and it's not gonna get any better so I've scheduled the truck into the shop for Tuesday. I'm also having them look at the fuel gauge. Lately, when I fill up, everything resets except the fuel gauge. It moves up to about a quarter tank and stops. Re-starting the truck doesn't seem to help either. About three starts later, the gauge functions normally again until the next fill.

So....Tuesday I drop off the truck and pick up the loaner and we'll see what I get back.

Is that the 6.0?

Yup, the diesel. I'm having more and more trouble remembering to drive the 150....I know she feels deserted.

I'm gettin' worried. No call from the dealership today.

If the truck is at the dealer and you don't hear from them, Thats good! When you hear from them it should be "come get it"! If you hear from the too soon it starts with Mr Garcia, we found/you have a problem! That = $!

P.S. Mom always said no news is good!

Well I'm not too worried, that bumper to bumper extended warranty means it can only cost me $100 anyway.

The driveway is just worried that the truck didn't come home last night.

LMAO!!!

I just called the dealership for an update. The brakes are fixed...no problem. The problem is the "r 0402 fail" code I got off the odometer. None of their folks is familiar with the code and don't know what it is. They tried pulling DTCs but there are no codes. So....they're gonna have to call Ford. They also can't duplicate the fuel gauge issue. They're wondering if it's related to the r 0402 failure issue.

More to come!

Well dont get in any hurry for them to contact Ford. They will need to call Ford Engeering and that is a whole new problem and can take some time! I have called them before and it took about 2 weels and daily calls to them and received from them to get an answer!

Well, on the bright side, I can drive the loaner (a new Ford Fusion) or I can put miles on the neglected F150.

Guess the ole white beast gets fired up this weekend!
