07 owners aftermarket intake
Ok I purchased an outlaw power intake for my new expedition. Just spent about an hour trying to install it. NOT POSSIBLE!!!
FORD has attached the radiator fluid overflow to the intake. It is one molded piece. Can anyone explain why in the hell ford would do this? This makes about as much sense as getting rid of the dipstick to check the transmission fluid lever. Basically it seems we are all screwed if we want to add any aftermarket parts to our trucks. Even if I could cut the stock intake out, the new outlaw intake still will not work. Then new tube doesnt match up correctly. If you take your triton cover off of your engine, look at the intake, and see how many damn silencers ford has put on it, it is ridiculous. HAS ANYONE CHANGED OUT THERE INTAKES on there 07 Expedition? |
are you talking about this overflow hose?
https://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g.../expy07003.jpg if so, it's time to get creative. that's what 'customizing' is all about |
I haven't been able to find any intake kits for my 07 Expy. Also no programmers are available yet for it. I do have a Flowmaster cat back SS exhaust coming for it, that's the only thing I could find at this point.

yes the overflow hose is in the way, and the bottom of the air filter box is one piece molded to the radiator fluid overflow. It will really take some cusomization and time to get a new intake on this truck. I don't know if aftermarket companies will even attempt it. I for one will not be changing it out till I know 100% an aftermarket intake will fit. I sent some pictures of my engine bay to outlaw power, hopefully they will come up with something in the future. For now, i just ordered an AFE Pro-Dry S flat filter replacement. This will help some.
