DIY boost fooler

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to make there own boost fooler with an air pressure regulator?
I am right now and just curious if anyone has done this and had any problems with it?

I was going to...but ITP's kit is such a no brainer I went with it instead.

Yes I did

I was in the hardware store and got a regulator and 2 fittings. I had to hook it up to my air compressor to set the thing at 22psi. FYI you have to set your air compressor regulator down to 30psi and than set the new reulator to 22 psi and it will be accurate. Also if your boost guage is eage juice with a dig. read out. It will only give the boost pressure up to the set point you set the regulator. That what mine did. You could put a standard air gauge in and hook it up to the intake after the turbo (air blowly thing)

well i finally got to try my home made boost fooler last night and wow it works. I used shop air to set the regulator to 20 PSI. I pulled the vacuum line off the waste gate and now i see 25 psi boost and NO SES!

Keep easeing up on the pressure till you get a light then back it down a little. Remember the more boost the pcm reads the more fuel it will send.

sounds good ohh and i forgot to mention that the entire thing cost me nothing. does the ses come on at 22 or 23 i cant remember. Ohh the regulator came with a nice black bracket perfect to mount right on the fire wall for a very clean install.

Most are around 24. My digital TS display (after the regulator) has shown as high as 26.
