Where are all the Expeditions?
 

.........because I don't see any anywhere around Northern MD/Delaware/Southern PA! I went to the beach this weekend (150 miles one way) and didn't see one EL - maybe 2 regular ones. I see Suburbans, Yukons, Escalades - no Expys. I really want to trade out of my 2000 Su-turd-an - what is the deal?

I would like to know the same thing.. My 02 explorer was a real lemon and I really did not want to buy another Ford but I took a chance on the 07 Expedition Limited, 1. Because of the 3rd row power fold flat seat and 2. because of the larger feeling in the cabin. I am 6'6" and the GMs were just to "short" feeling. I was originally more interested in them because of their better mileage record and I am sure that is why you see much more of them, but for me comfort was worth the extra couple of bucks in gas. I kind of like how unique the Expeditions are, I have yet to see another one exactly like mine on the road, there must be lots of dealers stuck with a lot of these on the lot, so some good deals will be coming up in the fall.

What color did you get? Is it an EL? What color interior? I was leaning towards Tri-Sand Metallic with black interior.

Just a standard limited black/black with 20" wheels, mean looking truck, I keep getting kids pulling up beside me and blasting their stereos thinking I am in some kind of competition with them.. I guess they can't see the baby seat in the back? hah..

There is alot of the Expedition EL here in Oklahoma City, OK. :)

I see some of them down here in Texas , The dealers are selling them , however the 4x4's are harder to find . The power fold down rear seat is what sold me on mine. (that and a friend braggin on how great his 03 4x4 expy is) . the power fold seat is great when it is time go fishing.

I have one here now on an overnight test drive. Sure is nicer than the 99 Expy we had and our 2000 Suburban. Has everything I want other than the 20" wheels. Not sure if that is a deal breaker or not...............

I prolly see at least one everyday here in Dallas, sometimes more.

I've only seen one other like mine tho, since I bought it.

Very beautiful truck! There will be one more in Street, MD by next Wed. - I finally pulled the trigger. I like the fact that there is not alot of them here. There are a ton of Suburbans!

I was hesitant about buying it and was looking at a black one which I really wanted, but the wife (who makes all the critical decisions, as anyone married knows.....) really wanted this one.

Yes - the ride is amazing in these things. I really like the copper - it is different. I was partial to the Tri-coat sand mettalic. It reminds of the pearl white on the Caddys. I really like the monochromatic look except for the grill. Guess I can change it.

I see one almost every day now in Eastern Virginia. There are plenty of 97's to 06's out there. I would say that I see more expy's than GM suvs on the road around here, however, with our F150 plant closing here in Norfolk everyone is a little shy about Ford products. The two big FOrd dealers here are both reporting sales down almost 30% over last year because of all of Ford's problems. My family has always owned Fords and for the first time I considered a Yukon or Sequoia. My '98 expy was great, my '03 had a lot of little things go wrong with it. Nothing major but stuff that a good quality control program may have caught. In the end I was still sold on the '07 expy because of the power third seat, power lift gate, 6 speed transmission, and overall curb appeal. Also I believe that Ford knows they are against the ropes and that Toyota's quality has gotten them were they are today and if they want to compete they have to step up and make "Quality is Job One" a way of life and not just another empty slogan. The '07 Expy is a big step in that direction.

There are quiet a few down here in SC. I have even seen several that look just like mine.

I don't see many inside the city in Atlanta. My Ford dealer only has about 8 in stock everytime I go by there for an oil change. Tons of GM SUV's, the occaisonal 03 to 06 Expy, but few of the new Expy's. I am going to keep my 04EB until the diesel Expy arrives in 2009 (hopefully!)

I just attended a wedding up in the Detroit area and was there for 3 days.

I didn't see ONE '07 Expedition the entire time I was there.........

must have something to do with $3.50 a gallon gas and the fact that hardly anyone has a decent paying job there anymore......
