adding heavy duty tow package

I am looking into buying a 2005-2007 4x4 Expedition, and I need the heavy duty tow package. So far some of the best deals I've found have been on Expeditions without the heavy duty tow package. Has anyone added the HD tow package to an Expedition or does anyone know how much a Ford dealer might charge for this work?

Heavy duty tow packages come in all shapes and sizes but usually include the following, A hitch ( $130 or more) Better cooling for the engine, trans, and sometimes an oil cooler ($300 or more for all) and different clutch shift points/firmness from the computer. Rarely there is a beefed up transmission included, at which point doing the conversion is not really worth the time. I'm quoting parts prices, heaven knows what the stealer will charge for them. Might want to look at the Excursion as well. A lot better pulling truck.

I was in the same spot before I found one with it. You will need to have the 7 pin plug and tranny cooler added. I would call around and get pricing from various places. The dealer will more than likely out source this kind of work anyway.
