Installation of rear flip down monitor help

I have a 03 Expy with rear air, I just purchased a 12" flip down monitor, DVD player and FM modulator.
I need help in installation if the flip down to the heahliner, the wire diagrams of the o.e.m radio ( 6 disc indash changer 4 speaker set up) to install the FM modulator.
I guess the biggest help that I need is the install of the monitor; do I need to drop the headliner? And if so how do I go about doing this?

Any info from the DIY and the pros will help greatly!

I'll post pics once the install is complete.

you don't have to drop it all the way down just enough so you can see what your doing up there usually if you pull the a pillar, b pillar, sunvisors, etc. that is enough
biggest thing to watch is when your pulling on it make sure the headliner is not getting a crease in it.

The way mine was installed, was they took a peice of wood, about 12" x 8" and slid up through the hole that was cut in the headliner, and then attached the monitor to that wood. I know this, because I has to replace the monitor not too long ago, as for running the wires, I used a coat hanger.

Was the peice of wood secured to roof braces or is it there to spread the weight of the monitor across the header panel? How thick was the wood?
Did you route the wire down the "A" pillar?
