growling noise

I recently bought a 1992 ford F-150 4x4, There is this growling noise in the passenger right front when you turn after you get going straight it finally goes away. I have replaced inner and outer wheel bearings, put a new rotor and pads, pulled the axle to see if the u-joints were bad but they have no play or movement. I have looked at everything and still can't figure it out! I thought that maybe the 3rd memeber was bad but the noise is coming from the wheel area. hopefully someone has had the same problem and knows what the hell this noise is!!! thank you Chet

Jack up and remove both front wheels a support with stand under the axle as close to the ball joints as possible .You also have to jack up the rear and support....but no wheel removal. Put at least 3 open ended lug nuts spaced out up against the rotors to simulate a wheel mounted. Proceed VERY carefully....idle the engine in gear......turn the steer wheel to duplicate the noise.....use a stethoscope or simular to get closer to the noise. After all....the previous owner may have installed a positive type locker in the front diff......which will make noise on every turn.
