May Meet

Hey Jim what's going on with the may meet are will still going to do it at Northpoint???

mudder460 04-22-2007 05:15 AM

What date are you guys looking at for having the meet?? I SHOULD be back for the last week of May if everything goes as planned.

jimkidd 04-22-2007 08:51 AM

North point is not going to happen in May. Maybe latter in the year.

I need to apoligize to the chapter for not taking care of this sooner. I've been overwhelmed with work, Guard, family, life...

I still want to do a meet at North Point. It's just not going to happen in May. David, do you know anymore about that drag strip?

i go to school up at Southside Bee Branch, and its an awesome dragstrip, you turn by Snappys Food Mart (left) and the road winds then you take a left and your there, i dont know if you can have a meet there, but it would be nice to be there seeing how its so close to me, and how i dont have a licsence (spell) if i go ill bring my truck, neighbors 78 F-250, MAYBE, and his 68 F-100, if i cant make it, because i dont have a ride, ill just ride with him in his 68. He has a workers permit and it says my name as imediate family on his liscense, oooooyah. Ill try to talk around at school and see if they allow you to have meets. Maybe i can get directions. They also have an internet access, if you dont know it tell me, and ill get it off a sign as i go to school in the morning. Yall have fun.

Are there any 1/4 mile tracks in Ar?

lucky no. 7 04-24-2007 10:37 PM

negative there are no full quarter mile tracks in the state of arkansas, not as of yet anyhow, there have been a few rumors floating around the past couple of years about buiding one in or around hot springs but like anything else i'll believe it when in see it

cookie88 04-25-2007 05:01 PM

I've been hearing those rumors for at least 15 years......I don't think it will happen.

What about the wildcat track at Paragould AR? it opened in 1961. It was 1/8 mile.

Dad used to go there a lot before I was born.

Is it still open? Is George Ray still alive?

The links on that page are dead. There is a phone number if anyone wants to call.

Here is a list of drag strips in all the states:

There are several Paragould, bee branch, prescott, newport, and centerline
