Sixtiesmusclecarguy your truck looks bitchin. the patina look was what i was going to do to mine. but my insurance co. will not give me the antique rate even though the state where i live gave me a antique lic. plate. they will be losing money by me painting my truck. go figure.

My truck is licensed as an antique vehicle --one time $7.00 fee, no annual inspections. Supposedly, the vehicle can't be altered from original if (Arkansas) antique tags are issued. However, I do have changes on my truck but, they never even looked at it at the time the plate was issued to me.

In Arkansas, you can also have the vehicle licensed under a Street Rod tag or as a Custom Vehicle tag. These allow changes to the vehicle but, the tags have to be renewed every year just like regular vehicle tags.

I suggest you talk with your agent about how much coverage you are getting and at what value did they base your rates at. If something bad happens and your rig is "totaled", what figure will they pay you? Will they pay you back for any parts or repair receipts? Will they find you another like vehicle? Minus what deductible?
Car insurance is a gamble. We gamble something will happen so we get insurance. The Insurance companies gamble nothing will happen. AND THEY MAKE US PAY FOR THE GAMBLE.

JEFFFAFA i am thinking of looking into someone like Haggerty or Grundy . i think one of them will insure all of my stuff on one policy. at an agreed value.

I finally got mine lowered. I didn't do anything to the rear but JDM beams in front. Previous owner must of taken out a leaf or something. It sits level now where before the front sat high. The nice thing about the rear the way it is I can haul heavy items. This week I hauled 1/3 yards of rocks. Truck did pretty good.

The best part about it is the truck handles great. No play is steering. Nice and tight.

Work in progress

Love this truck. What type of setup is this, looking to get similar stance out of my 72. Had no idea this ride height could be achieved without airbags.

hello, awesome looking truck. I am building a 1967 short bed and would like to know what lowering and wheel and tire combination you have. I want that same stance on mine. Any information would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Like your truck too. I want to cut a coil but lots of mixed reviews on that. How does your truck drive, handle and tire wear with the cut coil. And what size Cobras are you running?
Thanks
Kenny

Crown vic swap up front, flipped rear. 1 3/4 coils cut on stock coilovers up front until a group buy on aftermarkets pops up.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...cdb69c2428.jpg

Hey, I've been thinking about cutting down my long bed. I was wondering how you went about the rear cut/weld at the taillight panel? After checking it out, you got 4 pieces coming together there. Would you be willing to tell how you did that? Buy the way, looks fantastic! Watto

Don't wanna be the Debbie downer but the vin number never lies. Cubic zirconia looks pretty dang close but the buyer/seller also knows the truth. Just find a good original shorty. I see them (briefly) monthly here in Colorado on CL FOR sale $2500-5000. Normally mostly rust free except for the normal feont clip which is easily replaced, like I did.
