5.4 3V mods for milage gains

Looking for those who have successfully reprogrammed, tuned, modified intake/exhaust, changed induction method and have quantitative gains in performance and milage for those mods...I would rather do the needed changes once to get better milage as the performance I think is good. (that's what I say now though!...) I have thought about supercharging and headers with high flow cat(s) and the necessary fuel management upgrades to get the most out it. This will, no doubt, improve the "performance" but if driven nicely, should the "milage" increase as well? Should a guy just open up the exhasut and put on a cold air intake and call it good? OR...? BTW: this may be towing in the future as well. I would expect to come in around the 8,000 lb mark with what I am thinking of today...

Thanks for the insight!

Lewis
