Requesting some New Orleans info please
<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1><TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I'm taking my wife to New Orleans in May for our 20th anniversary,I am looking for some tips to find some good restaurants, now let me explain,I'm not looking for the touristy theme type places,we would much rather experience REAL local food, you know, the places that a tourist wouldn't be caught dead in? We both look for these type places, they usually have the best food and the friendliest people, from past adventures, the stranger places are some of the best! Thanks for the help!Chris

As for places to eat:
Commanders Palace-Not in the best neighboorhood but good food,$$$$ NOLA- in the french quarter-$$$ Emerils- good food Arnauds-very good food-$$$ Brennans Galatories- one of my favorites-$$$ Mandinas-Another fav K-pauls Dickie Brennans steak house-$$$$$$$$, same guys owns Brennans. Antiones All of these Resturants are seafood/creole except DB steakhouse. You most go to Petunias for breakfast. They have the best breakfast in NO. Do not be shocked by the waiters(or I should say waitress, if you know what I mean) but the food is unbelievable. Get there early though, there are only about 10 tables.. http://www.nomenu.com/RestaurantsOpen.html Try this link. It shows most of the Resturtants in NO. |
